“Smarter. Faster. Sleeker — it’s iPhone 17 time!”
Apple officially unveiled the iPhone 17 on September 9, 2025, at its annual fall event. Pre-orders began on September 12, with the device becoming available from September 19.

The standard iPhone 17 features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with ProMotion technology (adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz).
New front cover: Ceramic Shield 2 with enhanced scratch resistance (3× better than previous generation) and reduced glare.
Peak brightness outdoors pushes to 3,000 nits, helping visibility in sunlight; typical HDR brightness is also higher.
Design colors include black, white, mist blue, sage, and lavender. Base materials for the non-Pro model include aluminium frame and a colour-infused glass back.
On the rear, the iPhone 17 moves to a 48MP “Fusion Main” camera, allowing a built-in 2× optical telephoto capability.

For users upgrading from older models (say iPhone 13 or 14), the difference will be noticeable: sharper photos, smoother display, better battery, modern design. For someone coming from an iPhone 16, the upgrades are more incremental—but still enough to justify considering the leap, especially if the camera or display performance matters.
